What is the Translation Fund?

The Translation Fund helps progress your project or bridge a gap to get your project to the next stage.

Proposals should have a clearly defined endpoint that is achievable in the short to medium term. The Translation Fund also includes the Early Validation Fund (formerly the Project Development Fund), which aims to de-risk very preliminary translational science. We don't restrict types of proposals, but they must be consistent with our vision and purpose.

Eligibility

  • Any projects fitting the above remit

  • Open to both Cancer Research UK-funded and non-Cancer Research UK-funded researchers or projects

Funding amount

  • Translation Fund: up to £250k per project

  • Early Validation Fund: up to £80k per project

How to apply?

If your proposal fits the above remit, reach our to your local Search & Evaluation representative to determine whether the scheme would be suited for your project. They will also help you develop the key questions you have to ask before you take your project to the next level and help determine the best approach to answering them.
