Enhancing data accessibility

Our research network generates a substantial volume of cancer data that can drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.  To unlock the potential of this data, we're working to enhance how both researchers and commercial partners can access and use it.

Our guiding principles

To maximise the potential of the data our research network generates, we facilitate secure, patient-approved data partnerships established in a safe, secure and transparent manner.

To govern these relationships, in consultation with industry and patients and the public we have developed a set of guiding principles and a comprehensive patient involvement process.

Data Innovation Awards

Access funding

Our Data Innovation Awards provide researchers with up to £100,000 funding to be used to support cleaning, annotation, curation, linking or storage of data that has significant commercial potential. We also provide support and guidance to navigate the complexity of sharing patient-derived data and ensure any partnerships are safe, secure and performed in consultation with patients.
