About Craig
Craig is Group Leader of the Target Validation and Feasibility Group and interim Therapeutic Innovation Site Lead for the Scotland Institute. His team delivers biological validation of new opportunities from academia and industry, enabling translation into viable drug discovery programmes. He also leads one of our CORE drug discovery projects, focused on developing innovative therapeutics to deliver meaningful patient benefit.
With over 20 years’ experience spanning academic, pharmaceutical and drug discovery environments, Craig brings significant expertise in translational science. He has been with Cancer Research Horizons, and previously the Cancer Research UK Beatson Drug Discovery Unit, since 2017.
Craig earned his PhD and completed postdoctoral research investigating signalling pathways involved in genome stability. He subsequently transitioned to industry with Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, where he contributed to the development of preclinical and clinical-stage oncology programmes targeting key drivers of cancer progression.
