Douglas is the AZ Lead and Director at the Functional Genomics Centre. With over a decade in early pharmaceutical R&D, he has dedicated ten years to working on target discovery platforms and is passionate about bringing new medicines to patients in different disease areas.
Douglas' current focus at the Functional Genomics Centre is on using CRISPR to help understand the biology of cancer and discover new drug targets. Douglas has a PhD in virology from the University of Leeds.
