Esmé Walters

Esmé is an investor and external relations associate for Cancer Research Horizons. She supports the Ventures team in growing its portfolio of innovative start-ups with real potential for patient impact by building investor, business, and philanthropic networks, and raising the profile of the team and its new ventures. 

Esmé joined Cancer Research Horizons in 2024 from Zyme Communications, a Cambridge-based life science PR and marketing agency. At Zyme, she worked with biotech, pharma, and medtech companies (ranging from pre-Seed to Series B) to develop and implement effective communication strategies to build brand credibility, raise awareness of their science and technology, and engage potential investors, collaborators, and commercial leads. She obtained her BSc in biology from the University of York.
