Katie Sloan

Katie is an Investment Analyst for Cancer Research Horizons. She sources and evaluates new investment opportunities which are at the cutting-edge of oncology research, advises Cancer Research UK researchers on start-up activities, and supports on existing venture investments. Her role is focused on commercialising breakthrough innovations that have the potential to transform outcomes for those with cancer.

Katie joined the specialist Ventures team in Cancer Research Horizons in 2023. She has an MRes in Cancer Biology from Imperial College London, and a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Cancer Research Horizons, Katie worked at Cambridge Enterprise, the technology transfer office at the University of Cambridge, to commercialise life sciences technologies arising from early-stage research.
