About Louise

Maria completed a PhD in Immunology at the UCL Cancer Institute, working with Richard Jenner and Sergio Quezada. She continued her work at UCL as a Postdoctoral researcher, focusing on the role of T cells in anti-tumour immunity. Maria later joined Achilles Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist, where she contributed to the development of innovative cell therapies and vaccines for the treatment of cancer. 

In 2025, she joined Cancer Research Horizons as Translation Manager covering Oxford. She brings deep expertise in tumour immunology and biological therapeutics to her role, applying this experience to translate cutting-edge science into meaningful outcomes for patients.
