About Martyn
Martyn is a Regional Translation Lead in the Search and Evaluation Team, part of the Commercial Partnerships Team within Cancer Research Horizons. Martyn leads a Team covering CRUK funded researchers across Central and South UK, this includes Universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, York, Belfast, Bristol, Sussex and Cardiff. The team identifies and supports the translation of oncology opportunities to deliver patient benefit.
Martyn has worked at Cancer Research UK for over 17 years, always in the technology transfer field. Prior to this role, Martyn had a number of roles in academia and biotech primarily in the cancer field with a focus on cell and biology and angiogenesis. He completed his PhD in the Department of Medicine at the University of Manchester prior to undertaking a Fulbright Cancer Research Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, NIH.
