About Tanya
Tanya Hughes is Investor and External Relations Lead for Cancer Research Horizons. She helps Cancer Research Horizons’ specialist Ventures team fast-track breakthrough discoveries into tests and treatments that save lives by building investor, business and philanthropic networks and raising the profile of the team and its portfolio of new ventures.
After a career in consumer brand and corporate reputation building, leading communication agencies including several M&C Saatchi companies, she returned to her scientific roots. Following a master’s in science communication at Imperial College London, she spent three years in strategic communications for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, before joining Cancer Research Horizons in 2023.
