About Vishal
Vishal Pendharkar is Group Leader, DMPK-Therapeutic Innovation at Cancer Research Horizons in Cambridge, UK. In this role, he provides strategic leadership, coaching, and management to a high-performing team encompassing DMPK, in vivo pharmacology, safety/toxicology, and translational modeling to advance oncology drug discovery programmes.
With over 23 years of experience in DMPK and translational pharmacology, Vishal brings deep expertise in small molecules and biologics/ADCs. He has a proven track record of building and leading DMPK teams, advancing multiple programmes to IND filing, and contributing to successful licensing deals and due diligence. His strengths include Predict-First DMPK strategies that integrate in silico predictions, PK/PD modelling, and targeted experimentation, enable early de-risking, and support data-driven portfolio decisions.
Prior to joining Cancer Research Horizons, Vishal held leadership positions at Benevolent AI as Director of DMPK and at Singapore’s Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC), where he played key roles in five IND filings and major out-licensing transactions. He is passionate about fostering collaborative, matrix environments, mentoring talent, and applying innovative, translational insights to accelerate the delivery of new cancer therapies.
