Cancer Research Horizons and Incyte collaborate on antibody discovery to tackle rare blood cancers

  • 13 January 2026

Cancer Research Horizons, the innovation arm of Cancer Research UK, today announced a collaboration and option agreement with Incyte to accelerate the discovery of next-generation antibody therapeutics to treat myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), a group of rare blood cancers.

Under the agreement, Cancer Research Horizons and Incyte will work together to further characterise a panel of lead antibodies with the potential to deliver a differentiated therapeutic approach compared to current treatments. These antibodies aim to address significant unmet needs for patients living with MPNs.

Cancer Research Horizons will lead the research activities, with Incyte providing strategic input. Cancer Research Horizons and Incyte will share the cost of the initial research activities equally, with Incyte fully funding certain later stages. Incyte has an exclusive option to license the resulting intellectual property for commercialisation.

Nick Tribble, Associate Director of Antibody Discovery, Cancer Research Horizons, said: “This collaboration exemplifies our mission to translate cutting-edge science into new treatments for patients. By combining Cancer Research Horizons’ antibody discovery expertise with Incyte’s deep experience in haematology, we aim to deliver innovative therapies that address unmet needs.”
